A desire to bring the idea of comfortable, elegant and quality clothing for children, based on natural fabrics has evolved into a foundation of the brand Peter Jo Kids, based on local production in Porto in 2016. Our concept is based on preservation of environment and resources by using fabrics made of natural fibers, correct disposal of stocks and social responsibility.

Can you tell us more about the production process of your products?

Our collections are designed by us and therefore the design is based on choosing the correct materials for it. The fabrics we use are only from Portuguese or Italian suppliers and are always organic and of the highest quality. The production of the collection takes place on a certified, socially responsible factory, situated in the north of Portugal.

Personally, what does sustainability mean to you?

A sustainable business ensures, that all processes, products and manufacturing activities adequately address current environmental concerns while maintaining a profit. It’s a business that meets the needs of present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It is the process of assessing how to design products that will take advantage of the current environmental situation.

As a sustainable brand, what are your biggest challenges?

To gain more target buyers, who share the same values of the brand

Where do you gain inspiration?

Children themselves, their needs and necessities, what could facilitate their every day activity, protect and give comfort

What is your favorite item from your assortment and why?

Dress Harmony – amazing dress made of 100% organic muslin cotton. Why we love it, because it is simply perfect, starting from the model itself and finishing with the fabric. The fabric is soft, absorbent, very light, amazing for a baby skin and for summer days. Simple and comfortable design. Easy to wear and easy to dress.
