Linn Frisinger and Nadja Forsberg, the two founders of the iconic Swedish Stockings, have a clear vision- they want to to change the entire hosiery industry.
Linn and Nadja argue that whole two billion on tights are being produced and wasted every single year. TWO BILLION. And those two billion also unfortunately make the textile industry the second most polluting contributor.
Those classic tights, that we all wear on daily basis, are made of nylon yarn whose creation takes on an environmentally harmful petroleum-based manufacturing process that is not only bad for the planet, but also produces pantyhose that don’t last.
“We believe the world needs more innovative and environmentally conscious products to lead the way, and so Swedish Stockings was launched. A forerunner in sustainably produced nylon stockings, Swedish Stockings produce beautiful pantyhose from recycled yarn.”
– The founders of Swedish Stockings
By choosing the sustainable way, Swedish Stockings launched their genious and continous hosier that do not take the planet nor its citizens for granted. Check out the video where Linn and Nadja describe how they came across this idea and how they came to be the revolutioneries within the pantyhose industy.
“Our factories engage in sustainable practises including the use of environmentally friendly dyes, post-dyeing water treatment and the use of solar power for much of the energy needed in the manufacturing process” – Linn and Nadja
