It´s always inspiring to see how the front faces of the fashion industry are turning towards more ethical and sustainable practices in the process of fashion production.
Vivienne Westwood is one of the best examples in this matter. As determined as she is, her fashion values are the same. They are sustainable, ethical and progressive.
Not only does she acknowledge the fact that fashion has often undercut human rights and beliefs, but she also realizes that fashion is one of the biggest contributors when it comes to climate change.
“Buy less, choose well. Make it last. Quality over quantity. Eveyone is just buying to many clothes.”
– Vivienne Westwood
Therefore, as courages as her fashion has always been, she herself decided to start acting and commit to a global change. Already in 2012 she decided to partner up with the Environmental Justice Foudation, which focuses on getting the voices of those being the most vulnerable to climate change heard, recognized and protected.
During this short clip you will be exposed to the actions Vivienne decided to incorporate into the campaign by EJF called “No Place Like Home”.
